We learned about penguins in February for letter "P". We talked about the way penguins walk and how the Daddy penguins have to protect the eggs. Using different types of balls we had a penguin relay race where they had to waddle like a penguin to the end of the room while holding a ball between their knees. We also had fun making our own penguins using a collage technique. The kids helped rip up pieces of black and white paper very small and they they glued them to our penguin template to look like feathers. I'm sorry I don't have pictures of the finished product!
